Dear
list members,
I
have just finished my Ph.D. into haptic perception in virtual reality
and
the real world. I would like to continue conducting research in
this
field and would be very interested in hearing about any haptics
research
positions open to post-docs.
Some
brief info on my research: I examined the perception of texture
and
other 3-D object attributes in VR with the PHANTOM™ device. I also
compared
haptic perception between different VR devices and between VR
and
the real world.
I'm
currently based in the UK, but am also very keen to hear about
opportunities
in the USA and Canada. Any information on available posts or
advice
would be greatly appreciated.
With
thanks and best wishes,
Paul
Penn.

Therapy,
doing her dissertation using a haptic joystick for training
wayfinding
in blind persons, who is looking for a post-doc position in the
USA.
If ya have any leads or want more info, please contact me back

She is a very bright and motivated person.
